The 14th International Conference on Pharmacoepidemiology is sponsored by the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE). ISPE is dedicated to advancing the science, methods, capacity, communication, public understanding and support of pharmacoepidemiology toward the end of assuring, promoting and protecting the health of all persons using medications. The first of this conference is conducted in collaboration with the European Drug Utilization Research Group (EURO-DURG) and features joint educational, plenary and poster sessions.
Overview
The purpose of this conference is to provide a forum for the exchange of information among academic researchers, medical care practitioners, health care administrators, the pharmaceutical industry, and regulatory agencies on pharmacoepidemiological approaches to studying the efficacy and safety of pharmaceuticals. The conference will include invited lecturers and submitted papers, posters and workshops.
Conference Objectives
At the completion of this program, participants should have:
- An understanding of pharmacoepidemiology in an international perspective, to include the broad areas of drug utilization and the education and utility of the discipline of pharmacoepidemology as a decision-making tool.
- Explore more recent developments in methodology and major areas of concentration of this conference.
