- Edlavitch Award: Marie Helen Bouchard, University of Montreal, The Impact of Compliance with Statin on Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) Rate for Primary Prevention.
The Edlavitch Award, created by the Board at the time of retirement of the Society's first Executive Director, Dr. Stanley Edlavitch, is presented to the student who submits the best abstract for presentation at the annual meeting. This abstract also was the Best Methods Abstract submitted by a student.
- Second Best Abstract: Boris LG Van Wijk, Utrecht Institute for Pharmaceutical Sciences, 10 Year Persistence in Use of Antihypertensive Drugs.
- Third Best Abstract: Tobias F Gerhard, University of Florida, Propensity-Score-Based Analysis Compared to Multivariate Logistic Regression: Implications for Clinical Utility.
