Student Awards to be Presented at the 2006 ICPE
To recognize and encourage excellence in the scholarship of students in pharmacoepidemiology, the ISPE Board of Directors grants several student awards annually. The Scientific Program Committee oversees the selection and presentation of awards. This year the student awards will be presented during the Annual Meeting of ISPE Members, 2:00pm, August 26, 2006, Lisboa Convention Centre, Lisbon, Portugal.Congratulations to this year's student awards winners.
Edlavitch Award: Jereon J. Derijks, Utrecht Institute of Pharmacoepidemiological Sciences, The Association between Antidepressant Use and Hypoglycemia in Diabetic Patients: A Nested Case-Control Study.
The Edlavitch Award, created by the Board at the time of retirement of the Society's first Executive Director, Dr. Stanley Edlavitch, is presented to the student who submits the best abstract for presentation at the annual meeting.
