ICPE 2010 - Brighton
The Hilton Metropole and the Holiday Inn Brighton Seafront are the official hotels for the 2010 ICPE in Brighton. The reduced, advertised rates are only available through ISPE's block. You may not receive the rate if you book outside of the blocks. These rates are only generally applicable during the ICPE meeting dates.Why should I stay within a hotel contracted by ISPE?
The success of ISPE depends on meeting registrants, sponsors, and exhibitors using the contracted ISPE hotels to offset the sizable costs of producing the 2010 ICPE. ISPE cannot meet contracted room obligations if registrants, sponsor and exhibitors reserve rooms in non-ISPE hotels. The risk of incurring thousands of dollars in financial penalties (attrition fees) increases with each registrant who stays outside an ISPE hotel. We hope registrants will book in either the Hilton or Holiday Inn.
What are the advantages of ISPE hotels?
Rely on the ISPE "seal of approval." All ISPE hotels have been inspected by ISPE staff for quality and safety.
Networking is easier and enjoyable because ISPE hotels host a large number of ISPE participants.
Besides cost and convenience, is there any other reason I should select an ISPE hotel?
ISPE depends on your support. Sustaining a healthy financial future for ISPE means ensuring that both conference registrants, sponsors and exhibitors have a quality, meaningful conference that will reap benefits for you and the profession for years to come.
What if I find a less expensive hotel?
Hotel rates, like airfares, vary greatly. ISPE negotiated group rates are the lowest rates available, given the number of rooms required to accommodate all conference participants. ISPE has taken great care to book competitive rates and amenities over the time period we are in Brighton. Still, less expensive hotel rooms will always be available. If you find a less expensive hotel rate, take care to compare it to ISPE's contracted hotels to insure that your expectations are met. Many hotels are located further from the conference site, lack certain amenities, or are not in the best locales.
No continental breakfast at ICPE 2010
ISPE is not providing a continental breakfast at ICPE (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) this year. The ISPE rates at both the Hilton Metropole and Holiday Inn Brighton include breakfast. This is one way the Society is able to keep meeting expenses low.
How does ISPE decide how many hotels and hotel rooms to book?
Future sleeping room estimates are based upon ISPE's registration figures, expected popularity of the site, and our best projections for attendance. Once these determinations are made, ISPE books the headquarter hotel near the convention center, securing the best possible dates and rates. This is not an exact science. We build in as much contractual flexibility as possible.

International Travel Visas/Letters of Invitation to ICPE 2010
International travelers may require travel Visas to visit the United Kingdom for ICPE 2010. ISPE requires that people must have formally registered for ICPE 2010*, and ISPE staff must verify the credit card or check payment before a letter of invitation to support application for a travel visa is issued. Scholarship recipients must indicate their acceptance of the award to ISPE staff. ISPE will respond to inquiries for letters of invitation to attend a meeting with language to the effect of: "Thank you for writing to request a letter of invitation to support application for a travel visa. We will be pleased to send a Visa letter once you have registered and paid to attend the conference and payment has cleared." The applicant will be advised to allow adequate time for Visa approval.In the event of the Visa application is not approved after appropriate and timely application to attend the meeting, ISPE will refund the registration fee, compatible with other refund policies of the ICPE.

- Pool Valley: This is the nearest to the Hilton Hotel, around a 5 minute walk along the seafront – would strongly recommend that people use this as the end destination
- York Place: This is around 10-15 minute walk to the Hotel – not a particularly difficult or complicated route but longer all the same
