As climate change reshapes public health, pharmacoepidemiology must evolve too. This new pre-conference course introduces foundational methods to enhance our understanding of how environmental exposures — extreme heat, weather disasters, pollution — intersect with medication access, use, safety, and effectiveness.

Led by Soko Setoguchi, MD, DrPH (Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School) and Maarten Lambert (Utrecht University), alongside an international faculty team from UNC, Rutgers, Duke, Peking University, University of Strathclyde, and UTS Sydney, this intermediate-level course is designed for researchers ready to expand their methodological toolkit into one of the field's most timely frontiers.
